Reading: A Bridge from Misery to Hope By Michael Joe Francis

"There is no friend as loyal as a book."

Reading is a unique experience. Once you read something, you're travelling to a different world; a world that builds imagination to the core, a world that satisfies your desire to attain wisdom and more than that, a world that explores the real 'you' inside.

What makes reading special? We'll delve for new knowledge through reading. Things that was once unfamiliar to us becomes familiar then. It enriches our language and vocabulary, and helps to understand the viewpoints of different writers. It is a kind of leisure that gives numerous insights. A good reader can develop his level of thoughts and execute it in times of need. Reading relieves your burden and manages your stress. Even in difficulties, just taking your favourite book and going through it would make our mind relaxed and refreshed. It directs you to focus and fix up concentration in any act. That's why we get connected with our surroundings each day through reading as it empowers to empathize with others.

Maybe this is why we read, and why in moments of darkness we return to books, to find words for what we already know. Reading can make a clear transition in anyone; and the perfect partner who seems to be the most loyal companion one could ever get. That's why reading is defined as a bridge from misery to hope.
