Significance of The Title 'Can You Make Out' by Kumar Vikal - Liya Bobby

Can You Make Out by Kumar Vikal is a wonderfully crafted, heart touching and moving poem that reminds us to voice out the loud pertinent questions addressing Indian nationalism with its medley of people. The very title of the poem "Can you make out" arises the much-unspoken question that whether we could make out, to which caste, creed or religion the aftermath of these petty riots and outbreaks of civil violence belong.

It is truly saddening to see us making walls within ourselves, in the name of religion, caste and other fiddling differences when we all in core should be humans with humanity. In the occurrences of these instances, it should be us and our leaders, who should think and act sensibly when we all know that this hate and violence clearly ends up with pain, bloodshed and tears. Hence with the poet, it's high time we realize and respect our commonality as humans with the same blood in our veins than differentiating ourselves on the grounds of beliefs and ideologies to not repeat the painful history all over again.
