Biography of E C G sudarshan-Gouri R

Enackal Chandy George sudarshan (1931-2018)often known as ECG sudarshan was one among the  eminent scientist and theoretical physicist from God's own country. He had done his basic education from Kerala and later moved on to madras  pursuing  his masters. He was a great enthusiast of physics that we can evidently assess from his life journey. Sudarshan's passion for physics fortunated him an opportunity to be a professor of physics at University of Texas and beyond he worked with Homi Bhabha.Furthermore, pioneered to prove the existence of 'tachyons ".

E C G sudarshan apart from his usual designations was a person with greater perspectives upon knowledge system and its advancements. He was usually referred to as an extraordinary creative man and one of the astonishing physicists  from India in the last century. Being an admirer of mathematics he considered it as the silliest of all topics. Throughout his scientific journey he tried to intricate one thing to all those science aspirants that it is always important to innovate rather than repeat. Sudarshan never paid much attention to rewards rather openly stated his self-independence from those recognitions.However for his valuable contributions he has been awarded the Dirac Medal of ITCP, padma Vibhushan and Kerala shastra puraskaram for lifetime accomplishments in science.
