Read to Lead, Live and Prosper. - Sidharth G. Kumar

Reading maketh a full man; a quote by Francis Bacon all of us are very familiar with. But how exactly does it transform us from ordinary, forgettable beings to a formidable and complete individual? To know that we’ll have to point out all the little things this mundane activity bestows upon us. Reading has been cultivated as a common and customary activity with the help of years of practice. From a time when it was a luxury reserved for the elite few and was only looked at as a method of gaining knowledge to the present scenario where it is a commodity available to everyone, while being a source of leisure in addition to acting as a treasure trove of knowledge, reading has indeed come a long way. It enriches our lives in a number of ways. Reading helps to unlock the shackles that bind our imagination and sets it free. It drastically improves our vocabulary, writing skills, knowledge and takes us to a world of words where we are free from the tethers of the mortal world. Reading helps us to keep our thoughts streamlined and improves the overall outlook we have on life. Most importantly reading gives us the power to travel through time to experience everything from events that have happened in the past to anything that might happen in the future. It gifts us the inspiration and the drive to determine our future based on the values and lessons that we have acquired from our past.
