Reading illuminates a person's mind with ideas, creativity and imagination. In a vying world reading as an activity is an escapade which broadens our perspectives. The most important question that we face today is ‘why reading matters?'. Reading matters because it provides us with innumerable amount of information and knowledge. The fundamental factor which enables a person to seek knowledge is reading. 
                 Now we are living in a digital era. Everything, precisely n number of things are available to us within a touch on the screen of our mobile phone. Today we are utilizing the enormous possibilities of virtualization and digitalization through online learning, as time changes values do change. But it could never ever replaces the amazing sight and sensation of a book within the hand. The refreshing aroma of the pages of a book literally take us away to the past. 
                 Reading positively impacts a human being in infinte ways. Scientific studies have proven that reading strengthens the brain, increases empathy, reduces stress, aids sleep and alleviates depression. Moreover it changes a man to the best he or she could ever be. The height of wisdom is attained by someone who reads, as he is the one who speaks less and puts his words into action. Through reading we visualizes an imaginative world entirely of our own and through writing we captures that world into infrangible letters. Jhumpa Lahiri once rightly said, “That's the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet”.
