It was something that stirred up a bunch of realizations when I watched the Ted talk of Joseph Annamkutty Jose. He is a reputed RJ as well as a public speaker and more beyond, he’s a person who is exceptionally adept in stimulating the mind and heart of people through his spellbinding words. Each and every second of his discourse was flourished with unique ideas and influential stories. “An extra eye, an extra ear and an extra heart” revolves upon the very miniscule or unnoticed events that can change the whole course of action in one’s life. Being an introvert is a good thing.

On 29th of April 2016, A high school student, Crystal Robello successfully brought her dream to fruition when she stood on a TEDx talk platform and addressed the gathering about an epiphanic message which was 'Being an introvert is a good thing’. Talking to a huge audience, sharing thoughts and ideas was a challenge for Crystal as she was an introvert just like the 32.5% of people on this planet.  Crystal spoke about the harsh reality of how introverts are often degraded in the society. Since introverts are usually quiet and keep most of their opinions to themselves, the society discourages them as entities who will never achieve success in life. So, Crystal came up with arguments proving that there is nothing wrong in having an introverted mindset.   The ted talk speech that I have watched recently is the speech by Ms. Surabhi Gautam titled “How she became an IAS officer”. In the speech she shares her extraordinary journey of transition from being a naive  young village girl to someone who has cracked the most toughest examinations conducted across India. She had also secured AIR fifty in the coveted Civil Services exam 2016 and secured IAS in the first attempt itself. She hails from a village in Madhya Pradesh where there was no access to better educational facilities, electricity and transport. Perhaps, she belongs to a giant and joint brahmin family which consisted about thirty plus members. She was raised in an environment where it was believed that imparting education to girls is of no use.
